Position Title: HVAC/Controls Engineer
Type: Full Time / Direct Placement Shift: 1st
The qualified candidate will work independently under the guidance of the Operations and Engineer Manager, position is responsible for engineering of new DDC projects as well as compiling closeout documents including as-built drawings, programming, monitoring, installing, testing, commissioning, inspecting, diagnosing and repairing building automation systems (BAS) including HVAC and other integrated systems. Other duties include updating and maintaining the graphical web interface that provide systems monitoring and diagnosis and applying knowledge of multiple communications protocols including but not limited to BACnet and Modbus. Must be able to read and interpret construction documents. Must have good troubleshooting skills for determining HVAC vs. computer/controller issues. Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written. Must be self-motivated, goal and results oriented, customer focused and efficient in fast paces environment. Maintain high standards of quality with attention to detail. The ability to work independently as well as on a project team.
Requirements
Minimum two (2) years in Programming Field; five (5) years preferred. 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology is a plus. Tridium AX certification highly preferred. The ability to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with temperature control systems including Alerton, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Trane, Schneider, and Siemens is a plus. Knowledge of BACnet, DDC, Niagara AX, ALC, Siemens, or Metasys. Experience working with AutoCAD and PDF Software
